Kayla Support
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Kayla is on iPhone, from the App Store, and on Android phones, from Google Play. Something not working, or a question about your account? Write to us at Anaye@LittleBrownFaces.com and we will reply within two business days.
If you are writing about a problem, it helps enormously to include your account id. Open Kayla, press and hold the KAYLA wordmark at the top of the home screen, and the Session screen will show it along with a Share button.
Common questions
My photo was refused.
Our image provider runs its own safety checks and is cautious about photos showing more than head and shoulders. It is not an accusation and it happens to perfectly ordinary photographs. The app will usually offer to try again with just your face and hair, which is the fastest fix. If that does not work, try a photo taken closer in, with one person in the frame and good light.
The style does not look right on me.
Kayla shows you a preview, not a promise. The model sometimes misjudges hair, lighting or the way a style would really sit. It is a way to narrow a decision before you spend money in a salon, and your stylist is still the expert.
If something is genuinely wrong with a result rather than simply not to your taste, tap "Something not right?" on the finished look. Right after you make a Look, you can redo it once in the same style, free. If a Look fails and no picture comes back, your credit comes back.
How do credits work?
Each credit makes one Look. Your free credit never expires, and neither do credits from a pack or from inviting a friend. A 30-Day Pass gives you 25 credits for 30 days, and a plan gives you new credits each month: 50 with Monthly, 100 with Annual. When you make a Look, Kayla uses the credit that expires soonest first, so nothing is wasted. If a pass runs out with credits still on it, they are added back when you next buy anything. A plan's credits do not roll over to the next month.
If you leave Kayla while a Look is being made, your credit comes back, up to 3 times a month.
I want a refund.
If something went wrong, please write to us first, because we would rather fix it than have you leave unhappy.
On iPhone, Apple handles all refunds and we cannot issue one directly. Request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
On Android, within 48 hours of buying you can ask Google directly: on https://play.google.com, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Budget and order history, find the order and choose Report a problem. After that, write to us: Google lets us refund a Google Play order ourselves, so we can refund it.
How do I cancel a subscription?
A plan is cancelled in the store you bought it from.
- iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Android: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Kayla, and tap Cancel subscription. You can also go to https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not shorten the time you have already paid for, and you keep your plan's credits until it ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I delete my photos and my data?
Open Account and tap "Delete everything". Your photos, your Looks and your activity go from the phone immediately, and it cannot be undone.
To delete what is on our server as well, see "Delete your Kayla account" below.
I reinstalled the app and my credits are gone.
On iPhone, Kayla keeps your account in your phone's secure storage, so it usually stays the same when you reinstall. If your credits or plan seem to be missing, open Account and tap "Restore purchases": a plan and the credits you paid for move to the account on this phone.
On Android, deleting Kayla deletes your account from the phone, so Kayla keeps a recovery key in your phone's backup to your Google account. When you reinstall, Android brings the key back and your credits and plan move to the new install by themselves. This needs your phone's backup to be on, with a screen lock, and to have run at least once since you first opened Kayla. If you hold a plan, "Restore purchases" in Account also brings it back.
If that does not fix it, write to us with your account id and we will sort it out.
Delete your Kayla account
This is how to delete your account in Kayla, the hairstyle try-on app on the App Store and Google Play, and the data that goes with it.
Kayla has no sign-in. The first time you open it, the app makes an anonymous account, which is only a random id. It has no name, email or password. Your photos and Looks are never on our server.
1. Delete what is on your phone. Open Account and tap "Delete everything". Your photos, your Looks, your diagnostics log and your browsing activity go from the phone right away, and Kayla asks our analytics provider to delete its record of how you used the app. Your anonymous account and any credits you have left stay, so you can keep using Kayla.
2. Cancel any plan first. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting the app. Cancel it in the store you bought it from (see "How do I cancel a subscription?" above).
3. Ask us to delete your account. Find your account id: open Kayla, press and hold the KAYLA wordmark at the top of the home screen, and the Session screen shows it with a Share button. Then email Anaye@LittleBrownFaces.com with the subject "Delete my Kayla account" and your account id.
We will delete your anonymous account and everything attached to it on our server, including your credits and purchase records, your referral code and your side of any referral (the other person's record stays as theirs), your notification token and alert choices, the scrambled phone identifier and, on Android, the scrambled recovery key. We also delete the purchase record RevenueCat keeps for us, and ask our analytics provider to delete its record of how you used the app. Unused credits are deleted with the account and cannot be brought back. We keep a record of each sale (its order number, product and date, and the refund date if it was refunded) with nothing that identifies you, for seven years. If you referred a friend or a friend referred you, that person keeps their own record of it, without your account. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs that can include your account id; we cannot delete those, and they are removed on the provider's own schedule. We reply within two business days and tell you when it is done.
On Android, after your account is deleted, you can also turn off backup for your phone in Android's Settings, so no copy of the recovery key stays in your Google backup.
